A trick presented by Trevor Duffy and Phil Goldstein

A spectator freely thinks of one card among the 52 constituting a game.
The Magician declares that he is going to guess the name of the card: "Your card is called... Phil!".
The spectator thinks of a joke; on his request to say the name of his card, for example, "The 5 of Diamonds".

The deck of cards, which had been on the table in full view of the audience since the beginning of the round, has come out of its case.
The Magician takes out the card thought by the spectator (the 5 of Diamonds in our example, but I remind you, it can be any card!), and shows that on the back of each card there is written a different first name.
When he turns over the card thought by the spectator... there is written "Phil" on it!

The cards provided have no name written on their back. You can personalize them by writing your own names on them.

Easy to do.
No manipulation.
The trick is within the reach of the very beginner.

Attention: the explanation is for the moment in English.
