A card is placed face down on the table.
The Wizard takes out a complete deck, the back of which is a different colour from the card that was put aside.
The spectators examine the deck, and shuffle it to satiety.
At this stage, it is absolutely impossible to know the order of the cards, and to make it impossible to cheat, the cards are put back in their cases.

The Magician then takes the cards out of the case one by one in the order that has been determined by the spectator's shuffle, and the spectator is invited to sire "Stop" whenever he wishes.
The card on which he has stopped is shown: it is the card that had been predicted!
